Formed in Stockholm in late Summer 2006, Doctors & Dealers is
the result of songs sprung from suspended moments in airport
bars, train-stations, smoky New York cafes and walks in the
twilight. The face behind D&D, Sparrow, has crafted a bevy of
retro-tinged tunes perfect for lazy days in the park, crazy
nights in a bar, and the "blue" parts of the evening. Guided
by simple, unpretentious melodies with signature handclapping,
Casio keyboards, lots of finger-snapping, and sincere, quirky
lyrics, the songs have already garnered significant attention
in Sweden and France with international interest growing
everyday. The first single, "Social Skills", was voted a top
single in two Swedish publications while "Snow Child" was
voted Song Of The Month on Sweden's national radio station.
The album was entirely home-recorded and produced by Sparrow
in the Swedish-indiepop tradition, but Sparrow is already in
the studio (for the first time!) working on her next album.
