Shearwater - Winged Life (2004)

Shearwater's Jonathan Meiburg has one of the prettiest voices I've ever heard. This is their 2004 album, which was the first one I bought. The bird on the cover is the eponymous shearwater, in this case a Manx shearwater (puffinus puffinus), among the longest-lived birds known to man. Oh also the dude from Okkervil River is on this record, which is good, but the later records (which I'll be posting later) are significantly better. RIYL Will Oldham, Songs: Ohia, Talk Talk.
