Before the release of your first eponymous album by the label Millenium Records, the band had opened for Cheap Trick and KISS in 1977. Now with a solid reputation, the Godz start your first tour across America. In 1979, “Nothing Is Sacred” came by the label Casablanca Records, gaining a big commercial success. Whatever the group’s merits, The Godz went unappreciated by rock critics; the 1983 Rolling Stone Record Guide describe them as a “miserable quartet from Columbus, epitomizing the most wretched excesses of the seventies rock”. As of the 2006 the Godz remains extant, with Eric Moore still fronting the band on vocals and guitar, Nikki Storm on lead guitar, Ronnie Hughes on second lead, Bub Adams on bass, and skinmaster Keith Pickens keeping the beat.
