Jetico Personal Firewall
Персональный файрволл - средство для защиты от хакерских атак и других несанкционированных сетевых действий. Jetico Personal Firewall организует трехуровневую защиту, состоящую из контроля и фильтрации сетевых пакетов, контроля и фильтрации действий сетевых приложений и контроля и фильтрации пользовательских процессов, обеспечивая тем самым надежный заслон как атакам извне, так и несанкционированную отправку данных вредоносными программами, ранее внедренными в систему.

1. Jetico Personal Firewall v.1.0.0.38 (beta) announced. 17th February, 2004
2. v.1.0.0.39 (beta), 26th February, 2004.
Configuration Wizard enhanced and simplified. Occasional hanging during uninstall fixed. Problem of firewall hanging during connection initialization via modem in Windows 98/ME fixed. JP Firewall now compatible with WinPCap software (and also utilities that use WinPCap modules).
3. v. 1.0.0.77 (beta), 13th April, 2004.
Automatic detection of changes to network configuration added. Software now compatible with Service Pack 2 beta for Windows XP. Detection of attacks by "Ghost firewall testing program" added. Procedures for attack detection in Windows 98/ME significantly improved. JP Firewall now configurable to minimize a full-screen program (e.g. a game) and require user permission before the application can access internet. Procedure for resolving IP addresses improved.

Detection and preventing of attacks by "DNStest firewall testing program". Several fixes to appearance of user interface. Including: - application view window; context menus; rule editing; configuration wizard; network mask settings; and others.

Detection and preventing of attacks by "WallBreaker firewall testing program". Novell Client32 software compatibility problem solved. JPFirewall now works properly with VPN traffic. Occasional crash on shutdown fixed. Minor user interface improvements.

Network event logging improved. Maximum size of log files can now be set by running the "Options -> Log" command. The problem of disappearing outgoing traffic statistics in the "Traffic Monitor" tab is fixed. The problem of running JPFirewall with restricted user's rights fixed.
7. v. 1.0.1.5 (beta), 31st May, 2004.
The user interface now provides a dynamic indication of the current firewall configuration, highlighting the rules that reject (or accept) network traffic. The version for Windows NT/2000/XP now prevents TCP Ping and TCP Fin inbound scanning attacks. Stateful inspection of network connections is improved. The Optimal Protection configuration of JPFirewall is significantly improved. Help documentation enhanced.

8. v.1.0.1.15 (beta), 23rd June, 2004.
User interface improvements. Messages now advise the user where new firewall rules will be inserted in the configuration table. Statistics in the Application tab are corrected. "Best fit" option added to adjust column widths in Applications, Log, and Configuration tabs. Error messaging improved. Problem of the firewall occasionally hanging in localized versions of Windows XP SP1 is fixed.
9. v. 1.0.1.17 (beta), 7th July, 2004.
JPFirewall for Windows 98/ME now offers the same functionality as v.1.0.1.5 (et seq.) for NT/2000/XP: prevention of TCP Ping and TCP Fin inbound scanning attacks, improved stateful inspection of network connections and enhanced rule-set in Optimal Protection configuration. Rule-set for FTP Server added to Optimal Protection configuration.
10. v. 1.0.1.19 (beta), 19th August, 2004.
JP Firewall now detects and prevents the latest outbound Surfer leak test attack. The problem of supporting network cards with hardware generated IP checksums is solved. Minor improvements (such as enhanced error reports) to user interface.
11. v. 1.0.1.21 (beta), 30th August, 2004.
JPFirewall now retains user-defined configurations. Users also able to restore original configuration with "Revert to factory settings" item in "File" menu. ICMP packets logging fixed.
12. v. 1.0.1.23 (beta), 15th September, 2004.
Rules for stateful inspection improved. "Copy text" command added to "Configuration", "Log" and "Applications" tabs enabling users to copy information from tabs to a text file. User interface improved. "Properties" command added to application name popup messages. Occasional problems with dial-up adapters solved.
13. v. 1.0.1.30 (beta), 23rd September, 2004.
Wireless network adapters support added. Protocol filter module enables the user to specify an arbitrary protocol when setting rules. User interface now offers drag'n'drop functionality with multiple selected rules. "Copy text" command added to firewall popup message context menu. "Broadcast address" automatic variable available in rule-set. Optimal Protection configuration enhanced.
14. v. 1.0.1.31 (beta), 24th September, 2004.
JP Firewall detects and prevents outbound attacks generated by the PCAudit test program in Windows Server 2003. Several issues in the user interface are fixed including: - drag-and-drop from left to right panes in Configuration tab, and synchronization between these panes.
15. v. 1.0.1.40 (beta), 28th October, 2004.
JP Firewall logging subsystem significantly improved. Drag'n'drop for tables implemented in configuration editor. Content of panes in Configuration Editor synchronized. Systray menu items fixed for Windows 9x. Long file names are reported now for all network accessing applications.
16. v. 1.0.1.42 Release Candidate, 19th November, 2004.
The problem of compatibility with Symantec drivers used in Norton AntiVirus solved. Log file entries now are correctly saved when computer shuts down. Problem of compatibility with Avast! Antivirus v.4.5 solved.
17. v. 1.0.1.44 Release Candidate, 1st December, 2004.
The problem of occasionally repeated firewall messages fixed, memory management procedures in kernel drivers enhanced.
18. v. 1.0.1.47 Freeware version release, 30th December, 2004.
Default rules for Windows services added, as a result, the firewall will display less number of popup messages. The firewall rules for low-level network packets now have an explicit parameter for verifying correct packet checksum. Support for IGMP protocol added. Problem of compatibility with Kaspersky Anti-virus solved. Help documentation significantly improved.
19. v. 1.0.1.48 Freeware, 17th January, 2005.
The problem occured in the firewall interface when the program displays log entries is fixed. The problem of compatibility with programs creating many listening/accepting sockets (like Vypress Chat) is fixed.
20. v. 1.0.1.49 Freeware, 21st January, 2005.
Stateful inspection is enhanced for inbound connections. Minor enhancements and fixes are made in user interface.

Option "Auto Best fit" was added to the "View" menu and minor corrections in user interface were made. Occasional crash of the firewall filtering module on multi-processor computers is fixed.

Occasional crash on hyperthreading and SMP computers is fixed. Configuration Wizard now correctly recognizes broadcast addresses as firewall dynamic variables. The firewall behaviour at system shutdown is corrected.

Instability when viewing firewall logs is fixed. Security policy unloading feature added.

Log entries of the firewall now report detail on fragmented IP packets. Firewall system tray icon behaviour corrected, problem of incompatibility with games from Valve software fixed.

Memory leaks fixed. ESP (protocol 50 required by VPN) support added to IP rule. User interface settings are saved correctly now. Scrolling added for firewall rules drag'n'drop.
