Rafael Anton Irisarri es un compositor asentado en Seattle, aun que por el nombre no lo parezca. "Daydreaming" son 7 composiciones minimalistas con piano como principal base. Estas viajan entre el neoclasicismo más neo y la electrónica más sensitiva. Notas perdidas entre drones y ruidos que, aún estando en segundo plano, crean originales y sensitivas atmósferas. Deaf Center's Miasmah imprint continues to impress. After the simply sublime Greg Haines CD comes this gentle work from Rafael Anton Irisarri. Dreamy is the key word here and each track takes you on a beautifully melodic voyage through ambient depth. Using guitars, pianos and electronics you can hear hints of Eno in there as well as the occasional moment of Gas / Andrew Thomas style texture. Mysterious and fragile sounding with a warmth that's completely irresistable... you'd be hard pushed not to like this absolute gem. Cherish it, as music like this is something to be savoured.
