Lisa Jane Stansfield (born 11 April 1966) is a BRIT Award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated English R&B and soul singer.

Affection is the debut album by English pop / soul singer Lisa Stansfield, released in the UK, in November 1989, for BMG/Arista label. Entirely written by her husband and musical collaborator Ian Devaney, former school mate Andy Morris (who left her band in 1993), and Lisa herself, the record was widely hailed as one of the finest debut albums ever by a British soul artist, going straight to number two in the UK Albums Chart.

The long playing, with its combination of pop / soul / dance music, went on to sell almost 5 million copies worldwide, confirming the arrival of a major new star.
