Bloodgasm is a original death core band formed in the Middletown, NY area sometime before 2000. Sifting through the rubble of this bands complete history is a task by itself, and one in which this author has yet to complete, as there are many sides to the multi-faceted tale of the band Bloodgasm. The band formed originally under the name Bone Crushing Violence with at least two different line ups (Chuck Violence, Frank Blumberg, Brendon Mone and two other brothers and then a BCV line up with Joe Walsh on drums, guitars by james and brendon and another bass player). The Band recorded a short 2 song demo including the song Invoke The Suffering. Eventually the band reformed as Bloodgasm including James Bremmer, Brendan Mone, Joe Walsh and recorded the 2003 self entitled EP featuring seven tracks and a bonus track. Over the course of the bands history Bloodgasm has had several writers and contributers, along with numerous line up changes. Bloodgasm reformed in November 2008 with a new line up featuring the band's original drummer Joe Walsh, Chuck Violence on vox, Chris Crawford on rhythm guitars, John on lead guitars, and Lex on bass. Recently Bloodgasm added guitarist Billy Vanders who returned to the NY area in 2006. Bloodgasm headlined The Chance in Poughkepsie NY on March 21st., 2008 and is performing at the Metal Kill 08' festival in the Hamlet of Wallkill, NY on Sat., Aug. 16th., 2008. Bloodgasm performs live versions of songs recorded on the EP and is looking forward to new material in the coming year as it works toward a new album.
