Fleshcut started out in the summer of 2006 as a Grindcore/Goregrind band called The Grabbar by Pate (vocals), Padde (drums) and Fyran (guitar), but quickly decided to play old school oriented Death Metal instead. They changed the whole thing and re-named to Massive Killing Capacity (after Dismember's 1995 full-lenght). But then Pate came up with Fleshcut and they liked it so they kept it. One random drinking night Fyran decided to leave the band because he and Pate started to bitch, about 10 minutes later Pate and Padde had a new guitarist in the form of André Nilsson. They got more serious with the whole project and decided that they should start writing songs and rehearse, but they needed another guitarist and that became the drunken fucker Slurge. Now they where a full band (at that point) and had started to rehearse, but soon they figured out that a bass player would be interesting so they asked Fyran and he tried for like two times, then a guy named Roy tried but he just quit the band out of the blue so that was no good (he's very talanted though.. just to suck his balls). And then and at last they tried Jarlau Wiahl and three rehearsals later he was a full time member.
In October 2007 they recorded a 6 song EP called "Machine Driven Crushing" in Malmö, Sweden (from where the band origin). They signed a deal and released it on Goregeous Productions. The EP is almost out of print and has got very good credit (some shitty credit too, but fuck that..). Martin Schönherr (of Deranged, Razorrape and Splattered Mermaids) did guest back up vocals on the title track.
Fleshcut has played live with local partners in crime such as Splattered Mermaids, Carnalist, Thyzzo among others and with bigger acts such as Serial Butcher, Origin Blood and they opened the Armageddon Open Air festival in Kristianstad, Sweden 2007 which also featured bands like Entombed (one of Fleshcut's biggest influences), Insision, Visceral Bleeding, My Own Grave, Altair, Body Core and others.
In February 2009 bassist Jarlau Wiahl left the band due to personal reasons. The release date of the full-lenght "Gruesome And Vile" is set to be April 8, 2009. This date Fleshcut will have a release party with Carnalist (who also has the release of their new EP this date) at the metal club POWERHOUSE in Malmö, Sweden. Razorrape will also play this night, where Padde handles the vocals live.
In the early summer of 2009, Jimmie "Knudan" Ogefalk replaced Jarlau Wiahl as a full time member!! The first gig with Knudan takes place at Summer Slumber Fest in Malmö with Common Grave, Demonished, Chronic Torment, Havok and Sgt. Carnage!
This shit will be updated as soon as there is something to update that deserves more space than the blog!
