Renowned poetry slam champion B. Dolan started to receive notoriety in the early 2000's, his unique brand of powerful spoken word and its obvious hip hop influences helped pave the way for his self released "The Failure" back in 2003. It was Sage Francis, co-founder with Dolan of Knowmore.org that mentioned re-doing The Failure on his Strange Famous Records label. This re-worked version features all new material as well as all-new production to compliment the comprehensive collection of Dolan's recordings, works, and live performances. Dark and gothic, eerie and angry, no single piece is exactly the same and the welcome addition of guests like Sage Francis and Sole with production from Reanimator and Alias make this one an amazing masterpiece along the lines of Personal Journals. Very deep, very original and also a new favorite release of the year!
